EVALUACIÓN DE BACTERIAS ELECTROGÉNICAS PROMOTORAS DEL CRECIMIENTO VEGETAL Y SU RESPUESTA AL ESTRÉS POR PLOMO EN CONDICIONES EXPERIMENTALES

El uso de bacterias electrogénicas que poseen capacidades bioestimulantes y biorremediadora ofrece una alternativa sostenible frente a la degradación de suelos y la contaminación por metales pesados. El presente estudio tuvo como objetivo evaluar el potencial de la bacteria Delftia acidovorans (A1-40) y Stenotrophomonas maltophilia (C1-20) como promotoras del crecimiento vegetal, además de analizar su respuesta frente al estrés por plomo en condiciones experimentales. La identificación de las bacterias se realizó mediante secuenciación del gen 16S rADN, posteriormente se realizó una caracterización metabólica a través de ensayos de producción de ácido indolacético (IAA) y de la capacidad de solubilización de fosfatos. Posteriormente se evaluó su efecto sobre la germinación y desarrollo de Solanum lycopersicum y Zea mays L., junto con su tolerancia a diferentes concentraciones de plomo (0–1,5 mg/L). Los resultados demostraron que ambas cepas tienen actividad bioquímica favorable, destacando D. acidovorans por una mayor intensidad en la producción de IAA y una mejor capacidad de solubilización de fosfatos. En un entorno agrícola, los datos revelan efectos diferenciales en el crecimiento vegetal donde C1-20 beneficio principalmente la parte aérea y A1-40 mejoró el desarrollo de raices y acumulación de biomasa. Aunque dentro de los análisis estadísticos no se mostró diferencias significativas (p>0,05), los análisis exploratorios permitieron identificar tendencias biológicas relevantes y las pruebas ambientales mostraron que ambas bacterias presentan tolerancia al plomo, aunque con una disminución del crecimiento bacteriano a medida que aumentó la concentración del metal, siendo este efecto el único factor con diferencias estadísticamente significativas (p<0,05). En conclusión, los hallazgos mostraron que estas bacterias poseen potencial para su aplicación en agricultura sostenible y procesos de biorremediación, aunque se requieren un mayor número de repeticiones para validar estadísticamente los efectos observados.
